I am perfectly fine standing in front of a crowd when I am prepared to do so. What I do not like to do is be spontaniously called up in front of a group of people, especially when they are my coworkers. I also don't like when in standing infront of a group I am asked to recite a memorized something. Too bad none of this mattered the other day.
During our monthly company review the owner of my company pulled a few peoples names out of a hat to recite from memory our companies new purpose, mission, and attributes. It would be my luck to have my name pulled from the hat and beckoned to the front of the company. Luckily with only a slightly red face and only a few do overs I recited them all and in doing so increased my wealth by a whole 10 dollars. Not a bad payoff for doing something I do not enjoy.
