Pill Popping

I have never been one to take medication.  Any medication at all. Tylenol, Aspirin, cough medicine.  You name it most likely I am not going to take it.  I would rather have my body naturally take care of itself and not rely on something other than my body to make me better.  Then came the Bronchitis.

Oh man, I wish I had gone to the doctor sooner so he could have given me antibiotics earlier.  The best part is that I didn't even go to the doctor for myself.  I went with my mother because she had a bad cough and as I sat in the exam room while the doctor listened to my mothers breathing he suddenly turned to my mom and told her that now he was going to take care of her daughter.  He had been listening to my breathing as I sat waiting for my mother and realized that I was in much worse shape than she was.

Up on the exam table he sat me, checked me over and then prescribed exactly what I needed.  A good shot in the backside and a weeks worth of antibiotics.  It is amazing how much my symptoms have turned around.  I'm not perfect, but I am leaps and bounds better.

Now I just need to learn to take true sick days when I am sick.  I went into work one day and realized that I wasn't going to make it the whole day because it was hard to talk to people over the phone while coughing and having difficulty breathing.  So I went home.  3 hours later I was back at work because I just couldn't sit at home doing nothing.  I am not good at being lazy when I am supposed to be somewhere.
