Can you decide if you are allergic to something? I think I have decided I'm allergic to apples. That is a sad statements because we have all heard the saying, "an apple a day keeps the doctor away". I think an apple a day would bring the doctor my way. So, ya. I will probably continue to eat apples and drink apple juice because I love it, but I'm putting my foot down and deciding I am allergic to apples.
How is that for a post after being MIA for so long?

The List
You have heard of people making lists for what they would like in a significant other. I have never been one of these people. I have the romantic (I guess) idea that when the right guy shows up no matter what he is like he will be the right one and I don't need a list of wants. After having lunch with some good friends they decided to take it in hand and come up with a list for me. A napkin was passed around the restaurant table and everyone wrote in what I should be looking for in a man. So now I have a list. It doesn't seem to bad. It doesn't match up with my friends list that I will share with you, but it's not bad.

Achivement
A couple of months ago I decided I needed to whip myself into shape - Literally. So I joined a gym. I went through the tedious effort of locating a gym, having the "tour", and sitting through the endless spiels of how I can get a personal trainer for only dollars a day. Sadly I succumbed to the sales job pulled on me and I signed up for a personal trainer. My first experience with a trainer really didn't go well, but after switching personal trainers it really wasn't that bad.
Part of the training program that my trainer set in place was to set some goals. I won't go into what they were except for one. I go into this one because today I was able to reach it and even go a little bit beyond it. My goal was to be able to run 5 straight minutes on the treadmill. It may not seem like much to you, but for me it was a big deal. Today, I set my mind to do it and to my amazement and pride I pulled it off. I was able to keep running and not need to stop or slow down. I was so happy with myself.
I guess it is time to set a new goal for this one.

The Most Important Blog Post I've Ever Written
I know that I don't get very much traffic on my blog and to be honest that isn't the real reason that I have it. Yes, it is cool to look at the number of people that check out my nonsense and see what region of the world they reside in, but really it is just an outlet for my life and my thoughts (mostly my quirky observation of how my small existence goes). Once again though I am going to get very serious and ask for a simple request from you. The request is to share, post, and thoroughly spread the below information. I can't do much for the situation that I am asking you to share, but I can do this.My sister and her husband are trying to adopt a child of their own so that they may grow as a family. Yes, this is about adoption. Now, don't stop reading if you think this doesn't apply to you because even if you do not know of a birth mother that is looking for a loving couple to care for her child maybe someone you know does and in sharing this with them to share and spread you, yes, YOU could make all the difference.
As you have probably guessed my sister and her husband are not able to have children of their own so they have turned to the hope of expanding their family through the gift of adoption. I call it a gift because some beautiful, strong, wonderful woman out there will someday give the best and greatest gift by allowing my sister and brother-in-law to raise and love her baby as their own.
I didn't realize this and it came as kind of a shock to me, but the best/fastest/most suggested by a caseworker way of adopting is for a couple that wants to adopt to find a birth mother (or have a birth mother find them) and have an adoption agency simply help with the actual placing, paperwork, and legal mumbo jumbo. Waiting for an adoption agency to find you a baby or child often leads to long and heartbreaking waiting (as can be attested by my sister and her husband I am sure as they have waited and waited and waited).
Now please don't judge this post by my poor writing skills or anything that I share that might be lacking. This is truly important or else I wouldn't ask. I know that most of you won't bother because it doesn't concern you and your life will move on without you giving this a second thought, but if you have a second please pass this and the below information on. Realize that maybe, just maybe you know someone or someone you know knows someone that is looking for my sister and brother-in-law and they don't even realize it yet because they weren't aware my sister and brother-in-law were out there looking for them.Below I have placed their adoption information. Most of it can be found on their blog. If you have a blog please share this and please if it isn't too much trouble place one of my sisters buttons on your page. Please help. YOU could be the difference and make this world a little brighter and a little more full of love because I know that this is all about love.

Not Prepared
How could a fictional movie leave me in a blubbering pile of tears? Pretty easily it seems. My roommate and I on our adventures this evening decided to take in a flick using the free movie passes that she received a year and a half ago. The movie of choice, "A Fault In Our Starts". Through the last half of this movie I'm not sure that I even had dry eyes. The first sad moment hit and my eyes welled up and rivers of salty water and snot (yes, snot) ran down my face. Was I prepared for this? Did I bring the needed reinforcements such as tissues to this movie? No. I was not a good boy scout, girl scout, or any other kind of scout with always being prepared. That will teach me. If someone tells me that I will most likely cry through a movie I should believe them and be prepared.

If I Had A Shop
For my birthday my sister took me to a wonderful cafe in Downtown SLC, Gourmandies. They had wonderful food, beautiful pastries, and a great atmosphere. The next month because I enjoyed it so much I took my mother there. If I were to own a pastry shop I think it would be something like this one, not exactly, but close. Their display case was colorful, diverse, and delicious looking. From my small sample those two days I can say they are doing it right.
Thank you sis for introducing me!
